A Soap Dream Is Brought To Fruition

Welcome to my online store! My name is Zaidat and I am the owner/creator of ZAJA Natural and The Beer Soap Company. I want to share a bit of info about me and how I got started. I became a mother during my last year of college, and trying to balance a full time job, school, and a baby was a difficult ordeal. I have always had sensitive skin, so I started toying around with creating my own skincare line. I wanted to be able to stay home, raise my daughter, and make money at the same time.

I was fed up with not being able to find commercial products that did not make my skin flake up and break out. Originally my plan was to use pre-made bases to make my soaps, since those clear soaps seemed so popular at the time. Upon trying different bases and not being satisfied with the end results, the study of cold processed soap making began.

Utilizing my Chemistry background, I learned as much as I could about the art of soap making. I formulated, practiced, and researched for quite some time, as I wanted to create a product that would work for all skin types. After two years of trial and error, I created my core recipes.

I officially launched my female soap line in 2006. Some of the first products launched were my Charcoal Soap , and Squalane Serum, two of my best selling products to date.

My soaps are made with natural oils and organic butters. I do not use any animal byproducts. My products are vegan- friendly, and I never test on animals. I use essential oils and phlatate free fragrance oils. You can find a list of ingredients on each item page.

The Birth of The Beer Soap Company

In October of 2008 I launched a line of nine beer soaps. To my surprise those nine varieties sold out within three days! That is when I realized that I was on to something, and I decided to expand the men's line.

In January 2009 I officially launched The Beer Soap Company with 25 different varieties. Since then I have created 135 varieties, each made with its own beer and scent!

I have been fortunate to have been featured on many blogs, in news articles, and magazines. Some of the features include Imbibe Magazine (May 2009 issue,) Urban Daddy, Thrillist, Everyday with Rachael Ray, European Car Magazine, Trend Hunter, Wine Enthusiast... The Beer Soap Company was also featured in Etsy's "Quit Your Day Job" series in 2009. Thank you to all of these companies and fans who promoted my companies and brought a lot of attention to my brands!

My products can be found on Etsy, Amazon, Ebay, and in retail stores around the country. If you are interested in carrying any of my items in your store, please contact me for wholesale pricing.

ZAJA Home Aroma will launch in Spring of 2019, bringing flame-free aroma to your home and office. I am really excited about this!

I hope you enjoyed reading about how I started. If you have any questions please feel free email me via our contact form, or call me at (770) 813-8577 (12-6 pm EST M- Sat.)
